Marble Cleaning & Restoration

Prized throughout the centuries for its lasting strength and beauty, stone has long been considered the ultimate architectural adornment – synonymous for endurance.

But the truth is, like any organic substance, natural stone is susceptible to wear and tear, weather and the chemicals found in most common cleaners…so, it can lose its natural luster and strength.

But, properly planned, fabricated, installed and maintained, natural stone will actually appreciate in value-with a better-than-new appearance; increased safety; improved ease of maintenance and longer life for your stone, for as little as 10% of the cost of replacement.

At MarbleLife we will take all the factors that will effect the strength and appearance of stone into account- including the age, location and type of stone, installation current and past cleaning and maintenance practices and more. Because every type of stone has its own special characteristics, we begin by accurately identifying the problem – then developing a personalised solution for solving it.

Our expert technicians perform on site tests with a moisture metre to determine the exact moisture content of your stone, slip testing (static coefficient of friction) to determine, if it meets safety standards and local codes, and gloss level testing.

The restoration process involves a careful evaluation of your stone, followed by the stripping away of unsightly wax, and the repairing or replacing of cracked or broken tiles. The stone is then expertly resurfaced to remove blemishes and scratches, and then polished to a natural high-gloss finish, without using wax.
